About Us

Rising Ohana’s CIC is committed to creating safe, empowering spaces for vulnerable young people, including young women, families, and individuals facing complex needs. Our vision is to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care and assessments that enable individuals and families to rebuild, heal, and grow, while safeguarding the wellbeing of both parents and children.
We aim to fill the service gap for those who often fall through traditional pathways — young people and families with learning difficulties, mental health challenges, SEMH, trauma backgrounds, and substance misuse — by providing integrated care, assessment, and support services tailored to their individual journeys.

Our Goals

Deliver Specialist Family and Individual Assessments

Provide comprehensive residential and outreach-based assessments tailored for:
- Young people and young parents
- Mothers with mental health or learning disabilities
- Families experiencing substance misuse recovery
- Families involved in social care or safeguarding processes

Provide Inclusive Education & Support

Offer parenting classes, life skills workshops, therapeutic support, educational access, and NEET intervention for young people. Support individuals and families in obtaining the appropriate assessments, referrals, and diagnoses where underlying conditions (such as learning disabilities, ASD, ADHD, SEMH or cognitive challenges) have not yet been identified or formally diagnosed.

Bridge Service Gaps

Work collaboratively with local authorities, health services, education providers, and social care partners to address gaps in:
- NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) support
- Early identification and access to relevant support services
- Coordinating professional involvement to ensure a holistic approach to care

Create a Trauma-Informed Workforce

Build a skilled team of practitioners trained in:
. - Trauma-informed care
- Safeguarding
- ASD, ADHD, SEN, SEMH, cognitive disabilities, substance misuse, and complex needs

Promote Long-Term Outcomes

Empower individuals and families to safely remain together wherever possible. Support personal development, education, independence, and emotional stability for young people and families involved in care proceedings. Reduce re-entry into care systems and promote generational healing.

Act as a Community Anchor

Develop partnerships with local Family Hubs, voluntary sector providers, and statutory services. Serve as a long-term resource for communities across Croydon, Sutton, Surrey, Bromley, Lewisham, Bexley, Kent and surrounding boroughs.
